August 31, 2021, Tuesday – Like Blasts of Summer Sunshine, Lantana .
As usual, I have started my day today by making a stroll through my garden. An early morning blast of sun has fallen on a corner of one of my beds. It has settled down at the base of my brown, pottery fountain on a plant that is interspersed among the reds, corals, and pinks of my begonias. The brilliant globes of a yellow lantana plant seem to have sprung up there overnight. Like a spotlight in a Broadway theater, the sunbeam flashes upon the newcomer, and I find myself almost waiting for the golden girl to dance across the stage.
