Save A Lot of Money by Setting Out Flower & Vegetable Seeds Rather than Plants – How to Start Seeds Early Inside in Seed Starter Kits

I bought several packets of garden seeds today, and while I normally buy flats and/or pots of flowers to set out in my garden. This year, I decided to create my own flats of flowers. I have discovered that Dollar General is the most economical place for me to buy seed starting suppies.

Seed Starter Kit at Dollar General $4.00
At other places, similar seed starter kits will be $1.00 to $10.00 higher.

To start seeds inside, you need some sort of potting soil container. Granted, a large cake pan might work for this task, but I prefer a container that is divided.  I shopped around, and I discoverd that Dollar General had the least expensive Seed Starter Kits. I bought the kits with 36 cells that were already filled with a soil mixture that is suitable for starting seeds.

Dollar General Also Sells Garden Seeds for a Great Price. The same company that produces Ferry Morse Seeds produces the American Seed Brand.

I bought the following seeds for my 2019 garden.

To illustrate the savings on seeds at Dollar General, I am listung the price of the same seed in both American Seed packets [sold at Dollar General] and in Ferry Morse packets [sold at Home Depot].

Another great thing about Dollar General is that most weeks there is a coupon to save $5.00 off $25.00
